On the 18th of September 2026, the Zimbabwe Chapter of the International Papillomavirus Society (IPVS) was launched at Cresta Lodge Msasa.
The event was attended by officials from the Ministry of Health and Child Care, clinicians, academics, researchers, advocates, industry, the private sector, and people with lived experience. The UZ-CTRC team from Cancer studies and Lab were part of the launch. As UZ-CTRC we are conducting studies on Human Papillomavirus (HPV) related cancers among men and women and contributing to the efforts to prevent and reduce the burden of HPV related cancers and diseases in Zimbabwe
