About Spilhaus CRS
In 1994, Spilhaus CRS became the first Zimbabwean site to conduct NIH-sponsored research. Since then, the CRS has continued implementation of high-quality research and has developed increasingly sophisticated infrastructure and human resources to conduct complex clinical trials especially in the field of HIV prevention, contraception and colposcopy. Spilhaus CRS is located within the grounds of Harare Central Hospital, Zimbabwe’s largest referral center and situated within the Zimbabwe National Family Planning Council (ZNFPC) clinic complex, which provides services to approximately 10,000 adults and adolescents seeking sexual and reproductive health services each year. The CRS is accessible to Harare’s densely populated southwestern suburbs and peri-urban settlements.
