St. Mary’s CRS is located in Chitungwiza, a satellite city about 30km south of the CTU administrative offices in Harare, on the grounds of the Chitungwiza Primary Care Clinic in the St. Mary’s suburb. The CRS is accessible on foot for those living in the respective suburbs and by public transport for those further afield.

Our CRS has access to paediatric, adolescent, pregnant and lactating women, women involved in transactional sex and at elevated risk of acquiring HIV, adult men and women from Chitungwiza and the surrounding community. We recruit from the 4 clinics in Chitungwiza, Chitungwiza Hospital, Hopely, Beatrice, Dema, Chihota and Mashonaland East Clinics which offer child health services including immunization, growth monitoring, nutrition, health promotion, and management of acute childhood illnesses as well as comprehensive HIV, TB, COVID and NCD management.

The primary care clinics serve as the first medical point of entry for adults and children residing in these suburbs, with a combined average of 10,000 patients being treated annually for acute and chronic illnesses, maternity care, family planning, and well-baby services. The clinics refer in- and outpatient cases for specialty care into the Chitungwiza Central Hospital, located 6km away.
