Populations
Our CRS has access to paediatric, adolescent, pregnant and lactating women from greater Harare. We recruit from the 12 primary care clinics, 38 satellite clinics, and 10 family health service clinics that offer child health services including immunization, growth monitoring, nutrition, health promotion, and management of acute childhood illnesses as well as comprehensive HIV ,TB and NCD management. Our CRS is located within Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals, the country’s largest referral institution. Parirenyatwa Hospital is composed of a main hospital, specialized maternity, ophthalmology, and psychiatry facilities, and the HIV Centre of Excellence. The HIV Centre provides outpatient HIV care to complex adult and pediatric cases, which serves as a recruitment site for HFC.
Capacity
Our infrastructure, personnel expertise, and access to target populations position us to evaluate novel and durable interventions for treatment of HIV, ART-free remission, tuberculosis, HIV complications, and co-infections and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). (Phase I- IV trials)
